Rapport Technical Recruitment is a family business bringing together over 80 years of experience in recruitment, customer service and financial management.

David Raper always had an ambition to run his own show, having worked for many years in senior positions in the recruitment industry. He was concerned that the scattergun approach encouraged within recruitment firms, requiring staff to meet call and interview targets, deflected from his desire to provide a genuine, personal, committed and professional service to employer and candidate clients alike.

Formed in March 2004, we achieved a first year turnover in excess of £½ million, successfully supplying design and site personnel to 26 companies. We continue to expand based on our clients' trust and unrivalled market knowledge.

 

 

 

 

 

Managing Director - Ian Raper

Ian took early retirement in 2004 to assist in the development of the Company. His experience has been built up working at senior manager and director level with international, national and local firms in the risk management, insurance, banking and public utility industries.

His particular areas of responsibility have been in customer service and business development. He continues to retain consultancy connections in these areas although the majority of his time is dedicated to providing guidance and accounting, IT and administrative support for Rapport.

Family and business take a lot of his time but also very interested in computers, travel and Bradford City Football Club.

Recruitment Director - David Raper

Born in 1967, educated at Bradford Grammar School, married with one daughter. Started in general recruitment in 1989 moving to one of the large technical recruitment firms in 1995, becoming Leeds branch manager in 1998.

With a desire to have a larger role in running a business and introducing his own methods, he moved to a smaller firm in 2001 to set up a technical division from scratch. In 2004, his family supported him in going all the way by setting up the Rapport company. REC professional recruitment qualification.


Outside of family his interests are in astronomy and UFOlogy and supporting Bradford City (a family foible!).
Marketing Director - John Raper

Born in 1969, married with one daughter. Educated at Bradford Grammar School. Professional experience – 15 years experience in financial industry, having worked in marketing, underwriting, personal banking, shareholder services and customer relations.

Initially dealing with setting up of company forms/brochures for Rapport. Now developing marketing, market research and responsible for Architectural, Interiors and Mechanical and Electrical recruitment. REC professional recruitment qualification.

Interests include music, Australia, computer games and supporting Bradford City Football club.
Company Secretary - Eileen Raper

Mother of David and John, wife of Ian. Trained as secretary in Shipping and managed an Estate agency. As well as acting as Company Secretary, she smoothes relationships between Directors when needed!

Interests, family and her menagerie of animals and birds (not necessarily in that order!)
